Rising Together
Strengthening Collective Knowledge and Power
Rooted in East Central Bristol, Rising Together was created to move beyond community fatigue and division towards healing and action.
Focusing predominantly on our Black and racially minoritised community who have faced decades of trauma linked to serious youth violence and systemic inequality.

Key outcomes:

-
86% of attendees reported a significant increase in knowledge and awareness of how we can respond to serious violence and criminal exploitation.
-
79% gained greater understanding of how to build strong community foundations and collective action.
-
93% were likely or very likely to attend future events.
-
93% found the sessions useful or very useful.
In response to growing calls for harsher sentencing, increased policing, and misinformation, Rising Together brings parents, residents, and community members together to share knowledge, challenge harmful narratives, and explore community-led solutions.
